Set up in 2002, Biopac has quickly grown to become the UK’s leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of eco-friendly food packaging and catering products.
To enable them to effectively research and develop new materials, find renewable feedstocks and use innovative new technologies, Biopac have created a completely separate consultancy, Biopac Technology, which supports sustainability programmes for fast food retailers, fresh produce manufacturers, outdoor events and retailers.
With reports stating that 2.5 billion takeaway cups per year are thrown away in the UK and less than 1% being recycled, Biopac's takeaway cups are 100% compostable, so much kinder to the environment.
Biopac's Ripple Cups have 3 layers of board offering superb heat protection. This eliminates the need for separate ‘clutches’ or ‘double cupping’.
Sugarcane Plates & Boxes
These plates and boxes are made using a variety of renewable, natural plant fibres which are moulded into a range of plates and bowls. All the products in this range can be domestically composted or recycled through waste paper channels. Perfectly suited to mobile caterers serving hot and cold food.
The most popular attribute of the food boxes is that they don't sweat, unlike the polystyrene alternative. As they are made from natural materials, the container absorbs the sweat leaving your food looking and tasting much nicer. The boxes provide good thermal qualities to ensure the food remains hot.
Sugarcane material is suitable for microwave and oven use and also freezable.
Made from fully compostable cornstarch, these portion pots are perfect for samples, dips, sauces, dressings and snacks.
Biopac's biodegradable packaging is perfect for all caterers, restaurants, delis, cafes, takeaways and coffee shops that want to demonstrate their deep commitment to helping protect our environment.
