New research shows that the average adult suffers from around 5 ½ years of stress over a lifetime.
How do you manage your stress?
Some people find going for a walk therapeutic or having a glass of wine or listening to music, others find that a bit of cleaning helps to relax them. Of the 2000 adults polled, 6 in every 10 said that they felt calmed and more relaxed after cleaning.
Over two thirds of Brits say the feeling of productivity associated with cleaning their home helped to alleviate their stress.
The top 3 chores for stress relief were washing up, vacuuming and doing the laundry. The poll by Kärcher found that more than two thirds of the population struggle with the stresses of modern life.
